I bought this battery for use on a remote northern Canadian lake to power a 12 foot aluminum fishing boat using a Minkota Endura Max (12V 45lbs thrust) trolling motor. It is intended to replace a 2hp 2 stroke Johnson outboard which weighs about 30 pounds gassed up. The Minkota (15lbs) and Lithium battery (9lbs) weigh only 24 lbs total and can be carried separately so are easier to transport over uneven portages. Battery runs the Minkota for upwards of 4 hours at top (5) speed - more than enough for my usage case. The difference in noise between the Minkota and Johnson is like night and day making the trolling experience much more enjoyable. Also while trolling with the Johnson I need to stop the motor and restart it with much effort every time someone hooks a fish. Whereas with the Minkota it's just a turn of a switch to stop and start. All said for an older fishman (I'm 62) the weight differences, quietness, and user friendly characteristics of the electric motor and battery make it a no brainer. The only reason I didn't give the battery a 5/5 is because I dunked it for about 30 seconds and now it doesn't work. It seems to me a marine battery should be waterproof. Good luck fishing my friends. Ron
